03 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS z71, RPM Guage sticking 6 Months, 4 Weeks ago
I was wandering if I could get some answers here. I have a 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS Z71 with about 90,000 miles. Recently, I've noticed that my tachometer seems to get stuck when I drive long distances. When I turn the truck off, the needle only falls to about 1000-1500 RPM, so when I get in the next time to drive it will go all the way up to 3000 RPM's. There is no difference in my engine reving up but I just know that something is wrong and needs to be fixed. If anyone has any tips, that would be great. Thanks.

Nick

That is a common problem among 2003-2007 GM and Chevy vehicles. We offer a repair/return service for your cluster.

The service includes testing and repairing the entire unit (including gauges, lights, odometer, etc.)

Upgraded components are installed (includes replacing all of the stepper motors with upgraded x-series motors).

Repair cost is $199 and includes FREE return shipping and a one-year warranty. Same-day turnaround time!

Fill out the Auto Cluster Repair Form and send it with your cluster.

There is no reprogramming necessary and your mileage will automatically update.

We will arrange billing over the phone. We take both Visa and MasterCard.

More info can be found here.

Thanks,
Steve

Thanks for the information. I will try to get to you all soon. Another question, when I take the instrument cluster out, would that mess up my odometer, or any of those components when I go to put it back in?

Your mileage will automatically restore with no reprogramming necessary.

We have repaired hundreds of these Chevy clusters with no reports of issues with mileage or programming.

Thanks,
Steve
